As you probably know WGTour has a new hosting because old one could not host WGTour any longer. The problem is that on new site WGTour got a very little disk space so they can not help me by hosting LMRB. Maybe they will be able to host only some LMRB project files (www/binaries/script etc) but I am quite sure that they can not host whole replays collection. So I am asking you if anyone can help me with hosting whole 10 GB replays collection (and still growing). If you think you may help me then email me please.
By the time I find (hopefully) a new hosting I decided to host LMRB on my own. This means that LMRB is being hosted on my private computer (my gateway - to be more accurate). This is a RedHat 8.0 linux box/PII 450/192 MB/2x10 GB HDD so as you can see it is not quite powerful but its enough for LMRB purposes. But the real problem is that my current upstream internet connection is only 256 kbit/s. So if you are going to download a lot of replays it may take some time. Moreover I am using the same connection for my everyday work so I may have to limit bandwidth so I can work smoothly. Also this computer is usually turn off during night (02:00-09:00 CET) making LMRB site unavailable. Because of server change I regenerated all .lmn files so all old .lmn files have just become INVALID.
I hope that LMRB will be able to host its services for those who are willing to use them. In case on any problems post them on forum. |
