LM Replay Browser So you have installed LMRB, wizard filled all necessary fields and what now?

Let's say that you would like to download some gosu replays. To do that you gonna need some '.lmn' files. They are just text files containing some basic information about replays like: players, map, game length and plus some action that players executed during the game. '.lmn' files including only build/upgrade actions but it's enough to let us know what was happening during the game (builds etc.). '.lmn' file contains also replays URLs and that is why you can download replays. If you want you may copy that URLs to your browser and download replays via Internet browser. However in LMRB you can filter replays and easy select only that ones that seems to be interesting. Notice that in '.lmn' file usually is a few thousands replays descriptions so only by filtering them you may find the games that you want to watch.

You can download '.lmn' files in two ways: visit Replays Zone and download them via Internet browser or use LMRB wizard 'wizards/download replays'. In wizard you can get list of all '.lmn' files available on server (Get LMN files list) and download selected '.lmn' file(s) (Get LMN file) to '.lmn' file directory. Once you have '.lmn' file on your HD you can open it in LMRB 'file/load .lmn file'. So let's say that you downloaded this file WGTour6.lmn and you extracted it to '.lmn' files directory ('Options/Paths/LMN files directory path').

Let's get the party started. In 'replays' tab page you will see a thousands of replays. But how to find out some interesting ones? Well that's easy. Let's assume that you are zerg user and you would like to watch replays of some gosu zerg from wgtour. So go to 'players' tab page. Here you will see a tons of players. Which one should you pick? Let's say that you want player with good ZvT and let that player has a lot of games so you may learn something. I suggest that you enter in 'race' filter 'ALL, Zerg, 20, 10000' this will show only players who played at least 20 games choosing zerg. To find player that has good ZvT you must sort table by ZvT column simply by clicking on column header. If you do so on the top of table you will see that players who win the most ZvT.

As you can see Sauronzerg has quite good ZvT. Double click on his row and LMRB switches tab page to 'replays' and enter his nik to 'player' filter. This will show only Sauronzerg games. Well that's not bad from a thousands or games we got like 100++. And now to see only ZvT games set filter in this manner.

Notice that this will show games that Sauronzerg played zerg vs terran and those were Sauronzerg played terran vs zerg. So e.g. to find only those games where Sauronzerg played zerg vs terran on LT and he lost use this filter settings. Notice that you may sort table by clicking on columns header. Moreover if you remove his nik from 'player' filter you will see only those games where zerg played vs terran on LT and zerg lost.

I recommend that you take a look on 'conditions' tab page. Here you can define conditions that let you filter replays taking into account actions that executed players (e.g. detect 9pool or rax/rax/sup). Just take a look on same example conditions that i have entered and learn how to build them. If you check checkbox next to condition group name then this all replays are tested against this condition.
NOTE: LMRB tests conditions taking into account actions saved in replay not actions that was really executed during game. E.g. action like this 'build 3 hatchery in 00:00-08:00' will find replays where zerg executed 3 actions (build, hatchery) in first 8 minutes of game. But how many hatcheries was really built? 0 or 1 or 2 or 3. Because if zerg gives drone order to build hatchery then this action is recorded in replay. But when drone arrives to the place where hatchery is suppose to be built due to lack on minerals or scv harassment building hatchery was not started.

TIP: To differ 1.09 from 1.10 or 1.11 you may use date filter. Enable it and use right mouse button to call popup menu. Here you can enter BW 1.09/1.10/1.11 date ranged. However players may have wrong set system clocks so do not rely on it. This is the only method i know to determine replay's version

So now from thousands of replays you got some reasonable number of games to download. Push right mouse button on replays list and select 'download'. Download window will popup. Enter here directory where you want to save downloaded replays. Marks in each row determining if this replays is to be downloaded or not (just an additional filter mechanism). If you have poor Internet connection set timeout to some higher value because downloading replays which LMRB doesn't manage to download in that time period is stopped.

Now wait until LMRB download replays and go watch them ;) If you want to watch only a single replay then instead of choosing 'download' from replays popup menu choose 'Watch in ...' (just like for replays that you have on your HD). Of course requested replay must be downloaded first so proper download windows will popup. After you select 'Watch in ...' selected replay file is copied here 'options/paths/LMRB replays 1.x path' so you can easy find that file in BW. By default this file is the same as BWChart uses when you select watching replay.

You can use LMRB to manage and browse your replays collection from HD. You can load replays to LMRB in several ways:
- Drag and drop replays files to LMRB window
- use 'file/load replays'
- rip replays to '.lmr' in 'file/rip replays to .lmr file' and load '.lmr' file in 'file/load .lmr file'
- or you may go to 'options/LMR files' and here item like this: 'WGTour6' and 'D:\GRY\Sc_Oryg\maps\replays\WGTour\6' then press 'Rip and load'. This will rip information about all replays in 'D:\GRY\Sc_Oryg\maps\replays\WGTour\6' directory to file 'WGTour.lmr' placed in '.lmr' file directory ('options/path/LMR files directory path'). Only difference between '.lmn' and '.lmr' files is that in '.lmr' local replays path is stored instead of replays URL. You may filter replays in the same way i described above. In case of problems use 'wizards/load replays'.
